After breakfast we will pick you from your Nairobi hotel or the airport. You start on Amboseli safari by visiting Amboseli National Park a jewel tucked right under the skirts of Kilimanjaro arriving in tie for lunch. The park is one of Kenya’s smallest with an area of only 392 square kilometer and hosts a fragile wet-land ecosystem that is fed by streams from the snow peaked Kilimanjaro just across the border of Tanzania. The park is based on an ancient dried lakebed which produces spectacular spiral winds- as the Maasai people call the swirling dust and a sign high in the sky as a sign of incoming rains from Gods’ Mountain. After lunch you will have an afternoon game drive before dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
After an early morning game drive return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast proceed to the park, which is famous for its big game elephants, lion, cheetah and for its scenic beauty. You will have lunch and leisure break at the lodge/camp then return for an evening game drive where the landscape is dominated by glistening majestic snow cap Mt. Kilimanjaro of a fitting backdrop to a wild region where the pastoral Maasai and their culture have lived in harmony with wild creatures for many centuries. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Early morning game drive will give you a chance to get an encounter with the elephants, lions and leopards, cheetahs, Maasai giraffe and birdlife is equally abundant especially in the vicinity of the lakes and swamps where a great variety of birds are seen. Depart Amboseli for Nairobi with lunch en-route. Arrive in the evening in Nairobi for scheduled flight back home.
